Good idea, still T2 filtering is interesting idea.
You could add advanced filtering menu as dropdown from regular search window
add filtering boxes like:
Show meta 0
Show meta 1-4
Show t2
Show faction/other
with all of them checked by default
Also could be aded:
Filter by skills (only modules you can use)
Filter fitable (active ship can use it with enough CPU/PG left)
etc...

Sorting by meta level would be nice too.
as far as i know they are already sorted by meta level
